Sometimes the world feels small, and moments like these make it feel even smaller!
This particular session at one of my favorite session was with a lovely couple from England. They were getting ready to leave Germany, and they wanted to capture their time spent here with some memorable photos. As soon as we arrived at the location, I knew we were in for an amazing session. The light was perfect, and the weather was ideal for photos. Even though it was a bit windy, it only added to the romantic atmosphere of the shoot.
Just a few days before this session, my husband told me that through work he met the most wonderful group of Brits at a local car dealership. He raved about their infectious good moods and amazing personality. Now, as fate would have it, my Clients turned out to be part of this group my husband raved about, and I can confirm everything he said about them!
We hit it off right away and it's bittersweet to know that they're moving away. As we wrapped up the session, I couldn't help but feel sad I didn't get to know them sooner, but at the same time I'm so happy I got to send them off with a bunch of beautiful photos of the place they called home for so many years.
The castle ruins in Waldeck never disappoint, and I look forward to capturing more beautiful memories at this location in the future.

Manchmal fühlt sich die Welt klein an, und Momente wie diese machen sie noch kleiner!
Diese besondere Session an einem meiner Lieblingsorte war mit einem bezaubernden Paar aus England. Sie waren kurz davor, Deutschland zu verlassen und zurück in die Heimat zu ziehen, und sie wollten ihre hier verbrachte Zeit mit unvergesslichen Fotos festhalten. Sobald wir an der Location ankamen, wusste ich, dass uns eine fantastische Session bevorstand. Das Licht war perfekt und das Wetter ideal für Fotos. Es war etwas windig, doch das trug nur zur romantischen Atmosphäre des Shootings bei.
Wenige Tage vor dieser Session erzählte mir mein Ehemann, dass er bei der Arbeit eine Gruppe von Briten bei einem örtlichen Autohaus kennengelernt hatte. Er schwärmte von ihrer ansteckenden guten Laune und ihrer erstaunlichen Persönlichkeit. Nun, wie es das Schicksal wollte, stellte sich heraus, dass meine Kunden Teil dieser Gruppe waren, von der mein Mann so begeistert war, und ich kann alles bestätigen, was er über sie gesagt hat!
Wir haben uns sofort gut verstanden, und deswegen finde ich es sehr schade, dass sie wegziehen. Als wir die Session beendeten, war ich einfach nur traurig darüber, dass ich sie nicht früher kennengelernt habe. Gleichzeitig bin ich aber so froh, dass ich sie mit wunderschönen Fotos von dem Ort verabschieden konnte, den sie so viele Jahre lang ihr Zuhause nannten.
Die Burgruine in Waldeck enttäuscht nie, und ich freue mich darauf, in Zukunft weitere Erinnerungen an diesem Ort festzuhalten.
