The Skeels family contacted me and inquired about a family photo session. They mentioned that they were celebrating 15 years together and that they want photos to commemorate that. This is what I live for, these memories - captured in camera. What a joyous occasion!
We went to Mirabeau Park in Spokane Valley, I couldn't have imagined a better spot for our photo session. The snow covered mountains, the little bits of snow on the ground of the Centennial Trail and the gorgeous view overlooking the Spokane River.
Despite the sub freezing temperatures, this family - especially their little boy - performed exceptionally well in front of my camera. I think it is safe to say that we all had a great time during our session. After I left Aimee sent me a message and told me that her son had said: "Wow, I really liked her. We should have her take our pictures again!" Hearing things like that always makes me smile. I just love working with children. And knowing that they love working with me as well is such a great feeling!
Here are some of my favorite photos from the time we've spent together on that cold January evening.
