Hi, I’m Theresa
Since October 2014, I’ve been capturing the beauty of motherhood, the chaos of family life, and the fleeting moments that deserve to be remembered forever.
I’m the heart behind Theresa Burkhart Photography, specializing in maternity, newborn, and family photography for parents who want more than just snapshots. You want images that feel alive, vibrant, and full of emotion.
Why I get it
I know what it’s like to want beautiful photos of your family, but also to worry about the chaos that comes with it.
As a mom of two energetic boys, one being autistic and nonverbal, I’ve learned how to work with little ones, turning their restlessness into joy and capturing their genuine personalities.
I also understand how it feels to be in front of the camera, especially after becoming a mom. That’s why I focus on flattering posing, natural moments, and creating a space where you feel confident and comfortable.
My Style & Approach
My style blends polished, frame-worthy portraits with natural, candid moments.
I believe in picture perfect portraits with a lively, colorful twist. Every session includes those frame worthy, polished shots, but I also leave room for the unposed, candid moments: The giggles, the twirls, the soft glances that truly tell your story. I keep an eye on every detail, from fixing a stray hair to adjusting a pose, so that when you look at your photos, you see yourself at your absolute best.
A Little About Me
When I’m not behind the camera or editing, you can probably find me:
📍 Driving through the countryside, blasting music and chasing sunsets.
☕ Missing drive-through coffee stands from the U.S. (Dutch Bros, you have my heart).
🌙 Embracing my night owl tendencies, though early mornings with my kids don’t exactly agree with me.
🌎 Obsessing over languages - I studied German, English and Spanish (but let’s not test my Spanish skills!). And I'm currently learning Arabic and French.
